Hello, and welcome to I Am the Wife, Not a Concubine. My name is C. Marie Lundy, and I am so honored to have you here. My journey toward advocacy began in the most personal way—through my own marriage and the challenges that came with protecting the promises made within it. Over the last decade, I faced obstacles I never could have imagined. From navigating a complex legal system during my Chapter 13 bankruptcy to defending my rights as a wife, I realized how often procedure and misunderstanding threaten the very essence of marriage. Through it all, I’ve come to deeply value the sacred oath of marriage and the importance of ensuring that laws reflect humanity, fairness, and integrity.

My advocacy is rooted in the belief that every marriage deserves to be protected by laws that honor its sacred foundation. This isn’t just about my story—it’s about the countless individuals and families who face injustice because the systems in place fail to prioritize humanity over procedure. I am committed to challenging those failures, advocating for reform, and ensuring that no one has to endure the hardships I faced. My goal is to bring awareness to these issues, engage with lawmakers and communities, and inspire a movement that restores dignity and fairness to our legal and financial systems.
